I wasn't expecting to feel this way. This morning was a very emotional one for me. My first born, Avion, just gradusted from elementary school. She received so many awards and I am so very proud of her, but when she went forward to receive her certificate of completion, I couldn't stop the tears from falling:( My husband thought I was crazy for being so emotional. Then later when it all was over, he understood and could empathize with me. It seems like yesterday that I was holding her little 6lb 11oz body against mine. Kissing her little tootsies (feet). Praising her for her determination to take two more steps to reach me. Her giggles. The first time she told me "I lob boo". I know it is only going to get harder when she graduates from junior high and high school. It will be bitter sweet:)
