Contractions started on the 4th and are still going on. So I have low contractions that are about a 3 or 4 on the pain scale. They come every 5-20 mins on average and last about 5-15 seconds. They do not show up on the contraction monitor, but the monitor was high on my belly and this contractions are low. This is my third so I know what contractions feel like. The baby only takes up the bottom half of my belly due to him already being about a 0 station. I an 34 weeks. I was given a shot to stop contractions on the 5th and last night they came back, the contractions I am talking about above. I know I am not in labor but this is painful and they keep coming whether I am laying or sitting or standing, etc.. I have been drinking water and trying to lay down as much as possible, a little hard to do with two toddlers I have to take care of for at least 13 hours or so today. Anyone go through this.. The continuous pain is getting to me. It is one thing to be in pain in labor but to be in pain and not in labor is going to tear me down if they do not stop before I go in labor.

I had braxton hicks since 16week, first they were bearable and barely made me stop in my tracks, by about 28weeks they became enought to make me stop but not to the point where others would notice unless I gasped or grabbed my bump. By the time I was 30+ weeks they were often but very random until the day before my baby was born (by now I would grab my bump and gasp) when they were very much like braxton hicks with their random nature but different in the sense that they were sharp as opposed aches (she arrived at 1.53am the following day), I had been in labour since 6.30am and was told i was not in labour and even at 10pm and living 25miles from the hospital I was told to wait. If I had then my daughter would have been born in the car...whats my opinion???? follow your instincts lol This is proof that they can go on for some time varying in intensity but still not be labour. Of course if you are ever in doubt get checked.

Thanks, I am scared that in a few weeks I will be birthing him. I want him to be healthy and safe. My instincts tell me to rest as much as I can but my body says clean and have intercourse as much as possible.. lol. That scares me. Of course I don't do either because I know resting is best until I can get to the dr. When I go I will ask for a FFN test to test for possible premature labor.
