While it is possible to lose your mucous plug several weeks before you go into labor, it is usually a sign that the cervix is beginning to dilate. The opening cervix pulls away from the plug and it falls out. There is no guarantee that labor will begin within a specific time frame, but it sounds like your body is certainly preparing for labor. You mention that you had a bloody show when you lost the plug. If bleeding continues, you begin leaking fluid, or if regular contractions begin, call your doctor and he will most likely tell you to go in and get checked. Good luck and keep us posted! :-)

I did that with doyle I would go get checked! just to be safe! bleeding is not always good
