I know a girl who got pregnant at 17 had a her baby and then 3 weeks later got pregnant with twins and she was fine. every bodys body is different. we all know you can die while giving birth. but i think for the most part its for other reasons.

I am sorry you have been frightened by the thought that your pregnancy is more risky because your babies will be only a year apart. The only risks I was able to find were a possible added risk of attempting a vaginal birth after a previous C/S, within a short period of time, or of becoming nutritionally depleted because of the extra strain on your body of the second pregnancy. If you did not have a C/S the first time, then that would not be a risk for you (and if you did, your doctor is probably recommending a scheduled repeat C/S this time). The nutritional risk can be prevented by eating healthy meals and taking your prenatal vitamins. Many mothers have children close in age, and they do fine. Hopefully you can put your mind at ease and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy. Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. :-)
