That is not true at all. A baby isn't over due until past 42 weeks for one. Your friend might be talking about meconium aspiration, where the baby may breath in the poop and get it into their lungs, but Pediatricians are pretty good with getting it out. Hunter was born at 41 weeks and had meconium and he's 3 years old now. Also, just because a baby is late doesn't mean they'll have meconium present. Doctors are pretty good with checking sings of distress. I wouldn't worry about it.
