should i be worried..??

Topics: 15   Posts: 19

so at the end of november i had the mirena birth control inserted. i went back this past week for my 6 week check up. the doctor said that it had actually moved.. he repositioned it but said he adivses me to take a pt within the next couple weeks...

they gave me a test when i 1st went to get it inserted and it came back negative.. but my question is, i had been sexually active a few days before then (tmi i know) and these past couple weeks i have started to feel tired, sick... you know...

do you think its possible that i could be pregnant again?? the doc said that its hard for people who just got the IUD to tell in the first couple months if they would be preg or not because they are likely to bleed no matter what... so, just looking for some advice and opinions on this while i patiently wait to take a test... lol

Hey no matter what anyone tells you if you are worried you will stay that way until you find out the facts. I know because that is the type of person I am. But if you think about it what good is worrying going to do you? I know it sounds stupid but try to relax. Really there is nothing you can do until it is time for you to test and all the stress you cause yourself by worrying may be unnecessary. although if the iud moves again after being readjusted i myself would probably think of some other form of birth control. try to stay calm until you get the answers your looking for and hopefully they will be the ones you want to see.

You might want to try one of the pregnancy tests that states it will give a result up to five days before your period is due. Unfortunately, if it comes out negative, you still will not know for sure. In the meantime though, I would act as though you may be pregnant (no alcohol, medicines, etc) until you cycle again. Hopefully, then, you will know that you are not pregnant. Sorry I can't give you a clear answer, but you will just have to wait until your period comes before you can be one hundred per cent certain. If anyone else has used Merena and had something similar happen, please share your experience. Good luck, and please let us know what happens.

thanks :) about how far along would you have to be for it to show up in a test?? cuz i kno that sometimes if you take one too early, it won't show up. i dont want to take a test, have it come back negative because it was too early, and end up doing something that coult potentially harm the baby because i didn't think i was pregnant
