Dehydration

Dehydration makes your child tired. Headaches might also occur. You must take your child’s body temperature regularly. It tends to rise as with a fever when your child is dehydrated and he/she begins to sweat. The body can’t cool properly when it loses lots of fluids. Heat stroke can affect the nervous system and cause organ damage. Tips: -Drink eight glasses of water a day -Make your child drink before he/she goes to play -Advice your child to take breaks in the shade when playing outside for long hours -Avoid caffeine as it makes you go to the bathroom more often and lose fluids. -Fruits & vegetables might help, especially the ones that contain lots of water such as watermelon, cucumber, grapes, cantaloupe, etc.
