thank goodness for this vent box! haha i'm just annoyed lately about girls and weight gain during pregnancy. not so much on this site, but on other mommy sites it seems like everyone is comparing their size...which that i understand is pretty normal. but when the comment that follows after is.."oh wow, your so small...youre so lucky" or comments like "wow you're so big for your date...have fun getting that off after" REALLY piss me off. like seriously??? who really cares about that! its not about YOU anymore..its about your baby and if its healthy and growing okay. you could be tiny and get a ton of stretch marks and have problems getting the weight off after or you could be huge and lose it all right away after birth. stop being so VAIN!!! and watching what you eat or over exercising to not gain a lot of weight is just a another vent entirely! i love my baby belly..stop and enjoy it and stop worrying about superficial stupid things!

I agree! I got a lot of you are so big for your date. People thought I was further then I was. Who cares!!!!! Yeah I got some stretch marks not on my belly but other areas. Once you are a mommy it is about your baby. The fact that you created a beautiful miracle should be all that matters. People are vein. That draws in on how woman are always beating each other up in general. Why are we like this?

Wow, nobody has ever said that to me, but they have said, don't overeat or eat a lot of junk food....it was more about being healthy than about my looks.....cause I do eat a lot of junk food(not as bad as I used to though) and that was more about me being healthy in general, about eating more veggies and fruits and good things instead of feeding my body(and baby) junk stuff(food wise)....but yeah that is absolutely awful.

i am so glad that you posted this that would drive me crazy when i was pregnant .people would say wow your are small or wow u look like u r about to pop any day now. my personal fav i was 4 1/2 months and a girl ask me for a tampon omg r u serious..i know i am not a small girl but i mean really..and now that i have had my baby people r asking am i prego again... i kindly thank them for calling me fat..

 ok so yesterday 03-14-09 we had a party for my boss..it was great everyone was having fun then something a awkward happened my cowworkers son said something to her that she did not like so she smacked him a couple of times..and around a crowd of people at that..it was horrible i felt so bad for him there are so many ways to have handled the situation..i should have said something but i feel so bad that i did not..

Oh, funny story I went for my 20 week ultrasound today and the lady at registration asked what my ultrasound was scheduled for, she is not the first to be surprised to know I am pregnant, but I am overweight and depending on what I wear I could be an "iffy" like where people wonder if I am prego or fat, but too afraid to ask....I find it funny but annoying on occasion, like today, cause I was wearing a shirt that made it more obvious that I was prego.

I have people constantly telling me how big I am for my date (same issue with last pregnancy)! I don't care, cuz I LOVE being pregnant, and even more, I LOVE being a mommy!!! I was prego the same time as this other girl that was tiny, and people would make comments about my belly. It made me upset at first, and I told my husband about it, and he said, who cares! Your pregnant, your going to get bigger, your growing another person! That's when I realized I was being vain. Since then I have been proud of my baby bumps!!! Ever since when people comment I just rub my baby bump and say that I'm having a healthy baby and I loved being pregnant!

I get called a lier when I say how far I am.. I am more to love normally and have not shown much. The only way people at work know I am is if I rub my belly. My boss even forgets.... I love the look of the baby bump! The best thing God created!

I have a coworker who is also pregnant and she got big much faster than I did. Everyone was always coming up to me asking why I was so small and I even had one coworker lecture me that I must not be eating enough cuz I was so small. He went so far as to say I was hurting the baby. Just because it has taken me a bit longer to start showing and I'm a bit small doesn't mean I'm not taking care of my baby.
And at the same time, I do agree that women should stop being so vain about themselves while they are pregnant, but there are some women who seem to use pregnancy as an excuse to just eat whatever and gain a ridiculous amount of weight. My SIL gained 96 lbs. I'm sorry but that's insane and at that point it's not healthy for the baby or her!

I was always told by family member and friends that i was way too small they kept accusing me of not eating enough cause two other family memeber where pregnant at the same time and since i was not as big as them i had to be doing something wrong it got to the point i went to my doctor and ask him why am i not gettin any bigger but talking to him put me at ease i only gian 20 pounds with desi and i didnt get a belly till i was 8 months even than i look like i was about 3 months and just cause u eat and eat dont mean you will gain the wait cause i did try that

Yea I was actually getting nervous about the baby because everyone kept telling me I was too small. I asked my doc at my last appt if he was the right size and if he seemed healthy and asked why I was so small. My doc said he was perfect and my uterus was measuring perfect. She said I just look smaller because I have a longer torso. I just can't believe how critical some people are of you when you're pregnant. As if it's anyone business!
