The first thing you have to do is understand your body cycle. Chances are you’ll get pregnant during ovulation which will likely occur 14 days after your last period started. Ovulation will increase your temperature slightly. You are fertile during the two to three days before your temperature rises. Take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed. That’s called “basal temperature,” when your body is totally at rest. Change in temperature comes subtly so you need to track your temperature faithfully every morning to get to know your body temperature, and understand your cycle. The only cost you’ll have is thermometer. The ideal thing will be taking your temperature at the same time every day but we know that’s not possible at times since our schedules tend to fluctuate but it’s very important that you take your temperature at as close to the same time each day as possible. Drinking, smoking, and doing drugs can decrease the sperm count so make sure you talk to your husband about these things. Lubricants and oils can hinder the sperm. Don’t take a shower after having sex, cervical fluids help the sperm’s progress. It’s said that the missionary position is the most suitable one to get pregnant. Don’t get frustrated, sometimes it takes a long time. If you follow these tips, unless you are infertile, chances are your baby shower is around the corner. Good luck!
