I am really nervous about this b/c i know its happening lol I am 4cm, 80 percent effaced, -1 station and lost my mucus plug a week ago so I dont know if that makes a difference... Thanks

I was induced a week before my due date because I had Gestational diabetes. It's a lot more intense then regular labor because the contractions are none stop. They will hook you up to an IV and pump you up with picton(not sure on spelling). I was in labor for 2 days and ended up getting a c-section. Since you already gave birth before it probably wont be as bad as it was for me. Some people have a harder time then others.

If you have Pitocin it will be administered through an IV. It will be more intense and painful than a normal contraction. How intense or painful really depends on your pain threshold. I went into natural labor, but the next day I had to have some Pitocin to help move things along. I had it for only 30 minutes and once they stopped the Pitocin my contractions went back down a little. Good luck, hope you have a great labor and birth!

I was induced and the pitocin didn't put me in any more pain than I was already in. It was 2 1/2 hrs after I had the pitocin before I got my epidural. I was unconfortable, but never in severe pain. So, for me, the pitocin didn't make things any more painful than I was already experiencing. Good luck though.

i was induced and the contractions start faster but once you get the epidural its fine. i am the weakest when it comes to it all and it wasnt bad at all. i just got an iv of pitocin and they broke my water and that was it. i am sure you will be fine!

i wasn't induced but i was reading people's comments.. and they put me on pitocin and i only had severe contractions for about 2 hrs, then i decided to get the epidural and once i got that, i wasn't in any pain at all. so, i guess it all depends on how much of the pain u want/can take! lol. good luck girly, u kno where to get at me =]
