At 35 weeks your baby is still premature. Generally a baby is considered to be full term from about the 38th week on. I know that the final weeks of pregnancy can be very uncomfortable, and it is hard to wait for your baby's birth, but you really do not want to have a preemie because of the added health risks that can accompany prematurity. Hopefully your baby will wait until closer to your due date to put in an appearance. It sounds as if you are right on track with your body preparing for labor and birth. Many women are 2-3 cm dilated for awhile before active labor begins. Hang in there. Your baby will come when she is ready! :-)
