I have a tilted uterus and also did cervical checks, many women do when TTC. It will still go through the same changes no matter which direction it is facing, as will your cervical mucus unless there is any reason for it to be inconsistent. If you have checked your cervix for a long time you will know if there are any changes from the norm, pregnancy will cause changes in the length, texture and position (high/low) of your cervix and your CM will also change, when a period is due CM is less but if pregnancy has occurred this tends to be increased. Can I ask, if you are wanting your period to come then why have you been checking your cervix, wouldn't birth control have been better lol keep us posted on your test results :~) |

I have been doing cervical checks since I was prego with Aby, and as it goes my cervix was low in hard for a good week before my period was due than moved back up and soften up. But still facing the rectum, Im Just curious to weather if the uterus plays a part on where the cervix is when Im suppose to be infertile when Im suppose to start my period.
No I do not want to be pregnant at the moment, I am inn school about halve way done. and I am super sensitive to birth control i also have tried The merina Last march and had it taken out in june, which turned out devastating I ended up pregnant and a miscarriage and just up until last month "6 months after its been removed" I was still going through the horrible side affects. As it goes for my system of bc I go with fam, We have been good as it goes with following when too and not too. no offense I have been here since may of 08 and I do prefer Nurse Anne to answer my questions. I hope you have a great week Dogberry999. Thank you ______________________

If you had bothered to look at my profile (and that of the one who agree's with me) before your first reply you would have seen that I (and the other poster) are educated enough and experienced enough to give advice but seeing as I work three jobs (all medical) as well as being on my third pregnancy you would have also noted that I have a very busy life yet still bothered to reply to you until the NurseAnne did so you wasn't left without any reply. I have not to date given any unsound advice because as a professional if I don't know I don't pretend to.
So I see it's pointless speaking to you, that was evident with your first reply hence the block. |

I am not about to point out were you came off it's not my job, I tend to not put up with peoples bs and put a stop to it. Makes life a lot better less stressful in peace full when I do so. as it goes for your educating "Ya I read your profile" 2 Thumbs up! Ya people here were I am from can be sticklers in your profession, I usually tend to lean towards someone who I have full trust and who I feel trust worthy towards. Everyone is different when it comes to how they like to be treated, as it goes for nurseanne not replying good for her, Im not going to speak for her. She obviously has her reasons for not replying which I respect. In return this was a question out of seldom fear, I didn't want to believe at this moment I was pregnant and over the last few years and a miscarriage last year I knew deep down inside I was just did not want to admit it. ______________________

I am sorry that I somehow missed this question until now. Below is some information about a tilted or retroverted uterus that should explain things for you. Sometimes having a tilted uterus does cause difficulties in trying to conceive, but it is clear from your posts that this is not a problem for you. Testing your cervical mucous is perfectly normal, and is a good way to help you determine whether or not you are close to ovulation. Since you are wanting to avoid pregnancy at this time, I hope that your period arrived on time and I hope that the info below helps you better understand what is happening in your body when your uterus is tilted. You can click on the link below for further reading. Please do keep us posted, and again, I apologize for the late response
"A retroverted uterus is the name given to a uterus that is tilted backwards inside of the pelvis. Normally, women are born with a uterus that is located in a straight up and down position inside of the pelvis, or with a uterus that tips slightly forwards, towards the stomach. However, some women have a uterus that tilts backwards, pointing towards the spine. Commonly referred to as a tipped uterus, this condition affects more than 20% of women worldwide. Generally associated with no health complications, a retroverted uterus can occasionally cause painful symptoms or signal an underlying health disorder.
What Causes a Retroverted Uterus? In the vast majority of women with retroverted uteruses, causes are completely genetic. Many women are simply born with a uterus that is tipped in this position, and this is entirely normal. However, certain factors can cause a uterus that is in a normal placement to become retroverted. These causes include:
What are the Symptoms of a Retroverted Uterus?Generally, the majority of women suffering from a retroverted uterus experience no symptoms. However, if symptoms do present, the two most commonly-occurring symptoms include:
Rare symptoms associated with a retroverted uterus include:
