Your second trimester starts from 12-14 weeks (some say 12, others 14). I went by 13 weeks, because then you have passed the 'risky' stage of pregnancy. Also, I think it's months 1-3 is first trimester, months 4-6 is second trimester, and months 7-9 is third trimester.

My doctor said i started my second trimester at 13 weeks! & thats what i went by. and thats what my pregnancy calendar and book says as well!

I agree with the girls, 2nd trimester starts on the first day of being 13weeks pregnant (not week 13 as this is actually week 12 of pregnancy). pregnancy can be quite complicated because we are told we are pregnant for 9months, but we count it as 40weeks but these two are completely different lengths. 9months is 36 weeks and 40 weeks is 10 months. when counting trimesters you are dividing the 9 months by 3 (tri) therefore your second trimester starts as your 13th week starts.
