Socialism here we come. I am sure his first order of business will be to contact France and freshen up on how they do things over there. Maybe even China. |

i think we just need to pray that he will be the postive change our country needs whether you voted for him or not he is still our president so complaining wont do anything now. just pray he is what the country needs. |

Obama won and deserves in 100 percent! I'm sick of people looking down on him.. People have told me time and time again that America is 'not ready for a black president' and that is completely untrue! He's strong, educated, and has a great plan to change the United Sates for the BETTER! I mean look at McCain, he owns 13 cars, a private jet, and 8 homes scattered throughout the US . And he is supposed to relate to us? No. I don't think so. Wake up people! |

I think it is wonderful that history was made by us finally electing an African American to an office such as the President of the United States. I didn't vote for either candidate, b/c I didn't particularly "LOVE or HATE" either one of them. I think either of them will do an okay job. Let's face it, our country has gone to crap the past 8 years anyways. I hate hearing comments about "finally the republicans are out of office..." etc. Just b/c we had some bad decisions made under a republican president, doesn't mean that they all would have been bad. I personally think that it is stupid to NOT vote for McCain just b/c he was republican just like I think it is stupid to vote for Obama just b/c he was black. I personally believe they both got up there and filled our heads full of what we WANTED to hear... saying anything to get your vote (after all- they are both politicians). I personally hope that Obama sticks by his words that he spoke about "MAIN street"... but we will see over the next four years. I am a little nervous about his experience to be honest with you. His past is a little shady too. But, the election is over, and he is our president now, so I think we should all just give him a chance to show us what he's got. Hopefully he will do great things for this country. I am hoping he gets some tips for Bill Clinton personally b/c our country was doing pretty darn good under his leadership. So, that being said, I think we have to support him as our president and hope he ends this war and leads our country out of this regression that we are in. I would also like to say that after hearing McCain's speech conceding to Obama- I would like to know that no one would bad mouth him!! That was an awesome speech and proved just how patriotic he is and proved how much love he has for his country! |

The senate was and is majority Democratic for several years now. People always pin it on Bush. I know he made a mistake by going into Iraq but congress is the one that passes bills and appoves things and the congress has been majority democratic. But now with president Obama the congress will still be majority democratic and he will appoint democratic justices. So if he is planning to be far left and push a socialist agenda which already it seems like he is with the spreading of the wealth and universal healthcare he will have the full backing of the democratic congress. It is never good to have one side in power all the way around. Ok so he is president now I am glad there is the first ever african american pres. But I just wish it was someone else who does not have socialist agendas. Because our country will change and we will be like Europe and I know that our founding fathers left Europe to start a new free democratic nation. I just don't want these principals to change. Obama has already stated he did not agree with the constitution. I just hope he stays in the middle like the Clintons and does not go far left. |
