i think if your not sure if someone is throwing you a baby shower than you should throw one for yourself if i was in your same situation and i knew i needed a couple of things to help me out a little bit i would plan one for myself it wouldnt be anything over the top i would plan something simple with probley mostly family and some friends everything given to you at a baby shower will help you out a lot i had 2 babyshowers for my first daughter my mother threw me one and my fiances mother threw me one and i got a lot of stuff so even if you throw one for yourself and someone else throws one for you as well it wont hurt because it will just help you out i wouldnt really worry about it im sure it will work out in the end atleast i hope so

See my mom and I are planning mine. I decided to help with mine because usually it is the god-mother of the person having the baby and the mother who did the baby shower. Well i don't talk to my God Mother and I didn't want my mom taking on the stress alone so I decided to help. Then again I never do anything traditional.
